INFORMATIVA ESTESA COOKIE POLICY – WAGE ITALIA

1 – Intro

The drunknmunky.it website uses cookies to make your browsing experience easier, faster and more intuitive and to help the website improve its service. What are cookies? As you probably already know, cookies are small text files sent by the website to the user’s computer, where they are memorised and then retransmitted to the website on the user’s next visit to the same website. Cookies are used for different purposes: executing information authentication, monitoring sessions, storing information regarding specific configurations regarding users accessing the server, memorising preferences, etc. Types of cookies: Cookies can be first-party or third-party, “first-party” refers to cookies originating from the website, while “third-party” cookies refer to external dominions. So-called “third-party” cookies originate from a website other than the one the user is visiting. This is because every website may contain elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages from other dominions, etc.) belonging to servers which are different from the one of the website visited. There are also “Flash Cookies” (Local Shared Objects), these are used on Adobe Flash Player to access certain types of content, such as video clips or animations, so that the settings and preferences can be stored. Flash cookies are stored on the device, but managed via a different interface from the one provided by the browser in use.

2 – Types of cookies

  • 2.1. Technical cookies. These cookies are used for the sole purpose of “transmitting information via an online communications network, or as strictly necessary for the provider of an information service in order to provide services explicitly requested by the subscriber or user” (article 122, comma 1, of the Code). They are used for browsing or for providing services requested by the user. They are not used for any other purpose and are not normally directly installed by the owner of the website. If these cookies were not utilised, certain operations could not be completed or they may be more complex and/or less secure, such as home banking (viewing bank statements, bank transfers, paying bills, etc.). Cookies allow for the identification of the user and the storage of this data during the same session, which is an essential function. They are not used for other purposes apart from the proper functioning of the website and are directly installed by the owner or manager of the website. They can be sub-divided into the following:
    • transient or session cookies guarantee normal browsing and functioning of the website (for example they allow purchases to be made, or identity authentication to be executed when accessing reserved areas); they are essential for the proper functioning of the website;
    • analytics or statistical cookies are assimilated by technical cookies where they are directly used by the manager of the website to collect information regarding the number of users and how they visit the website so as to improve the performance of the website;
    • functional cookies allow the user to browse according to a series of chosen criteria (for example, language, items to be purchased) so as to improve the service. Prior consent is not required for the installation of these cookies (more information is contained in the ‘Management of cookies’ section below).
  • 2.2. Profiling cookies. These cookies are used for tracking users’ activity online and creating profiles regarding their tastes, habits, choices, etc. These cookies are used to transmit advertising material, in line with user’s preferences already expressed by online activity, to the user’s computer. The user’s consent is required for profiling cookies. The user can authorise or deny consent of the installation of cookies via the range of options provided in the “Management of cookies” section.
    As far as third-party cookies are concerned, the website does not have direct control over single cookies (the website cannot directly install them nor delete them). However, you can still manage these cookies via the settings of the browser (follow the instructions set forth here), or websites indicated in the section entitled “Management of cookies”. The user is therefore invited to check part three on the website indicated in the following table.
